                    stretches
            we may feel like ghosts
                            but
                     when you hit bodies
                        they give
          (& he gave up his body
                          laid down
                       his
                       arms)
                    "with desire
                     we sacrifice
                 with need we submit"

                    I broadcast 
            the message of love
                to the people 
                       & they 
                 wanted revolution
              "give them revolution"
                said
                 the advisors
                    I said
                "love is revolution"
              but the problem
                    is semantic
                       (no one dies
                      for love
                               on the
                            radio
                                no one gives up 
                            their soul
                              for a fuck)

                        now there's 
                     a struggle for anger
                   too desperate for love
                             I stay quiet
                        these
                           days
                             carry
                            a gun

                           to talk about love
                when they're 
                    pulling you      apart
                          is foolish
